Had a user complaining about a file being locked by another user:

Log on to the server

Start:- right click “My Computer”:- Manage

Shared File:- open Files:- right click “Close Open File”
In this case the file was not open by the user it said. It was actually opened by the original user. A bug with Windows i think.
